My specialty is working with first-time writers—on books, screenplays, adaptations, TV series, and more.
Over twenty years ago, I moved from Massachusetts to California and met a mentor who changed my life. A producer on several big films and TV series, she knew story, character, structure, pacing, and possessed a patience rare in the industry. On top of that, she loved storytelling as much as I did.
This collaboration gave me the tools to face a blank page and create stories with confidence. With every screenplay, middle-grade novel, TV pilot, and adaptation, my toolbox grew. Today, as a professional writer, I’ve developed projects for…
Universal Studios, Blumhouse, BET Studios, Syfy Films, The Animation Company, Bold Films and several Oscar-nominated producers.
So I know what it takes to bring a vision to life.
My mission at Story Scout Press is to help authors, screenwriters, and creatives transform ideas into finished projects, so their stories get told.
Too often—and I see this everyday—people simply don’t know where to begin. Storytelling can feel overwhelming, expensive, or out of reach—and many talented voices never get heard.
THAT’S WHY I’M HERE.
I take a personal, hands-on approach to every project, offering one-on-one mentoring in a relaxed, collaborative environment designed to help you grow with confidence and put words on the page. Guaranteed.
Together, we’ll create a custom path for your story— to reach goals, fulfill dreams, and share your voice with the world. Schedule a free call to find out how.
FIRST:
We demystify the process.
Creating doesn’t have to be a foggy, solo journey. Through personalized one-on-one Zoom sessions, we’ll turn storytelling from a mystery into a manageable process, saving you time and money. It’s like having an on-demand collaborator who loves story as much as you.
NEXT:
We design your path—so you’re not guessing what happens next.
You’ll uncover the nuances of your story by answering the questions most writers or creators don’t know to ask. This series of focused, story-shaping questions is designed to give you a map of where your story wants to go.
THEN:
You write your story—confidently, creatively, and with a guide by your side.
I recognize the need for affordability, structure, and the freedom to adapt as you go. Sessions can be one-off or flexibly priced for longer, more in-depth projects (the norm). These customized sessions have brought books, films, and stories to life for over twenty years.
STEP 1
Send a hello and share a little about yourself and your project.
STEP 2
I’ll reach out to schedule a 30-minute relaxed and friendly call or Zoom chat. Together, We’ll talk about your project, answer any questions you have, and explore how I can best support you. Together, we’ll map out your next steps so you feel confident and excited to move forward.
STEP 3
With all the details in place, I’ll send over a custom overview, so we can officially get started.
